Mission and Background
Our Mission
The Teaching & Learning Centre is committed to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning at the University of Calgary. Our mission is to provide leadership and support for quality, innovative, inquiry-learning approaches to curriculum innovation and research.
We also provide leadership and support for integration of technology into the learning process. The strategic goals of the Teaching & Learning Centre include:
- Provide teaching and learning development activities
- Precipitate and support curriculum renewal
- Support technology innovation and adoption to enhance teaching and learning
- Foster and disseminate research associated with teaching, curriculum, and learning technologies
Academic Foundations
Academic Foundations is a guide for the University of Calgary's broader planning framework and decision-making processes. Our efforts, our allocation of resources of various kinds, the work of our administrative and support units, our communication strategies, our fundraising objectives and our government relations will be aligned at all levels of the institution with the values and principles found within this document.
