Lawrie Edison

“Lights, camera, action” is all in a day’s work for Lawrie Edison, the TLC’s cameraman and senior editor. Lawrie lights and shoots videos produced for clients both on and off campus, then edits the material into a final program. Lawrie has been with the TLC since its inception in 1998 and it’s the variety of projects he works on, the interesting clients he works with and his colleagues at the TLC that have kept him here so long. Past projects have taken him to Nicaragua, Finland, Scotland and the Great White North, but a shoot for a promotional video on location at the Adidas manufacturing plant in Germany and Switzerland is the one that stands out as most interesting. Lawrie started his career as a cameraman for the CBC and then worked for a company shooting travel documentaries throughout the US, Caribbean and South America. When he’s not behind a video camera, you can find him golfing, enjoying movies, taking still photos and playing Sudoku.
